We Work Together To Transform People’s Lives And Build A More Affordable City For Everyone.

Rooted in Jamaica Plain. Building a more inclusive Boston.

Mission

To transform the lives and amplify the voices of Boston residents and beyond who have been excluded from prosperity by racial and economic inequities. We develop affordable housing that allows people to thrive, provide services that help people build on their strengths, and organize people to pursue the changes they desire.

Vision

Based in Jamaica Plain, we envision an equitable and inclusive Boston and beyond in which all people have access to secure housing, economic prosperity, safe and vibrant neighborhoods, political power, and opportunities to fulfill their potential.

HISTORY

Founded in 1977, JPNDC was born from the activism of JP residents who successfully fought to prevent an expressway from tearing their community apart.

PEOPLE

We are collaborators who work together, across differences, representing the diverse fabric of Jamaica Plain and beyond.
