REHAB OF 199 APARTMENTS FOR VERY LOW-INCOME RESIDENTS

Part of larger 350+ unit development that will include affordable and market-rate housing

What’s the project?

Please note that, as components of this project are still in planning, exact unit numbers may change.

  • JPNDC and TCB are rehabbing 199 existing units that are occupied by very-low income residents and creating 12 new ones in the building

  • Urban Edge will construct approximately 63 new affordable homes

  • The Community Builders will construct approximately 218 market-rate units and 72 affordable units in two buildings

  • Once complete, 62% of all units will be affordable; 40% of new construction will be affordable; 100% of existing affordable units will remain affordable

Other benefits

  • No residents will be displaced
  • Much-needed capital improvements to 40 year old public housing units
  • Landscaping and amenities that will connect 125 Amory Street to Jackson Square with a new green linear park
