REHAB OF 215 APARTMENTS FOR VERY LOW-INCOME RESIDENTS

Part of larger 500+ unit development that will include affordable and market-rate housing

What’s the project?

Please note that, as this project is in early planning, exact unit numbers may change.

  • JPNDC will rehab approximately 200 existing units that are occupied by very-low income residents
  • Urban Edge will construct approximately 100 new affordable homes
  • Community Builders will construct approximately 175 market-rate units
  • Once complete, 64% of all units will be affordable; 37% of new construction is affordable; 100% of existing affordable units will remain affordable

Other benefits

  • No residents will be displaced
  • Much-needed capital improvements to 40 year old public housing units
  • Market-rate housing will help pay for creation of new affordable housing
