REHAB OF 199 APARTMENTS FOR VERY LOW-INCOME RESIDENTS

Part of larger 500+ unit development that will include affordable and market-rate housing

What’s the project?

Please note that, as this project is in early planning, exact unit numbers may change.

  • JPNDC and TCB will rehab approximately 200 existing units that are occupied by very-low income residents

  • Urban Edge will construct approximately 63 new affordable homes

  • Community Builders will construct approximately 218 market-rate units and 72 affordable units in two buildings

  • Once complete, 60% of all units will be affordable; 35% of new construction will be affordable; 100% of existing affordable units will remain affordable

Other benefits

  • No residents will be displaced
  • Much-needed capital improvements to 40 year old public housing units
  • Market-rate housing will help pay for the renovation of the 199 existing affordable units at 125 Amory St
