About Matt Henzy

Major areas of responsibility: Manage multiple aspects of several JPNDC real estate projects including coordination with architects, engineers, development consultants, attorneys, accountants, and other professional staff; design work including community planning, permitting, zoning, bidding, and contractor selection; project budgets and funding applications for predevelopment, construction and permanent financing; project management during the construction phase; and oversight of marketing, leasing, sales and occupancy.

Relevant background: 15 years as a tenant and community organizer, transitioning to affordable housing development in 2003. I’ve worked for Cathedral Tenants United (South End), Massachusetts Tenants Organization, Mission Hill Neighborhood Housing Services, Neighborhood of Affordable Housing (East Boston), and Codman Square Neighborhood Development Corporation (Dorchester). I earned a BA from the University of Connecticut in 1987 and a Masters in Community Economic Development from Southern New Hampshire University in 2002.
