  • Overview: Named after a local activist, this property is part of the redevelopment of the former Blessed Sacrament parish and includes units for visually and mobility-impaired residents. It also includes ground-floor commercial space at 365 Centre Street.

  • Overview: Preservation and renovation of the portfolio formerly owned by Lorenzo Pitts.

  • Overview: A major victory in avoiding displacement of low-income residents, Pondview’s acquisition by JPNDC ensured that it retained its long-term affordability.

Rockvale Circle

  • Locaton: 5 properties on Rockvale Circle, Jamaica Plain
  • Overview: When a landlord who had long neglected these properties attempted to convert them to luxury condominiums, the JPNDC, working with City Life/Vida Urbana, residents and neighbors, stepped in to buy the property.
  • Units: 15 2- and 3-bedroom apartments

Sumner Hill House Apartments

  • Location: 76 Elm Street, Jamaica Plain
  • Overview: The result of a long-term partnership to redevelop the former JP High School as mixed-income housing (originally rental, gradually transitioning to ownership). These ten apartments will remain affordable rental units until their occupants are able to purchase them or decide to move out, in which case they will be sold to first-time homebuyers who are low/moderate-income.
