About Andrea Grimaldi

Title: Director of Community Organizing

Year started at JPNDC: 2024

Major areas of responsibility: Building and strengthening coalitions for JPNDC to continue being a leader in pushing the political agenda that shapes all areas of our work, including affordable housing development, economic prosperity, early childhood education and small business development.

Relevant background: I believe stable housing unlocks a path that allows us to imagine a more equitable future. I have worked in projects that improve housing quality and access for immigrant families in Argentina, where I am from. Since arriving to Boston in 2019, I have been part of the CDC world, learning how to build and finance affordable housing, and now directly advocating for it. I live in Jamaica Plain, and I feel privileged to be able to work where I live and advocate for affordable housing in this neighborhood and beyond.

  • What inspires me: In a world that pushes us to focus on what makes us different, I am inspired by people who take risks, speak truth to power, and look for ways to remain connected to our shared humanity.
  • What I like: Summer evenings, learning a new language, cooking my grandmothers’ recipes.
  • Ask me about: Anything housing related!
