Major areas of responsibility: My role is to combine business expertise, resourcefulness, and cultural sensitivity to empower minority-owned businesses to thrive and overcome systemic inequities. I help clients craft clear business plans, define revenue models, and develop growth strategies tailored to their unique goals and vision, while fostering confidence and creating a safe space for open dialogue. I actively connect businesses to critical resources – such as funding opportunities, certifications, and educational opportunities – and build networks by introducing clients to mentors, lenders, and community organizations.

Relevant background: I bring over 10 years of experience leading community development programs across the United States, Peru, and Colombia. Before joining JPNDC, I served as Director of Small Business and Entrepreneurship at La Colaborativa, where I designed and implemented culturally relevant technical assistance programs to help local entrepreneurs launch and grow their businesses. My background combines strategic program design, partnership development, and grant management. I hold a Master’s in Natural Resources Management and Rural Development from El Colegio de la Frontera Sur in Mexico and a bachelor’s in business administration from Universidad Externado de Colombia. I’m passionate about helping people thrive and creating sustainable pathways for inclusive community growth.
